Classes And Programs

If you want to get together with people to talk about spiritual growth, study religious ideas, or simply enjoy their companionship, then check out what we have to offer.

Classes

These classes are for everyone who wants to explore God's Word and talk about what it means to live according to its teachings.

Doctrinal Class

Our doctrinal class is held on the Second Thursday of Each Quarter [unless otherwise noted], at 11:00 A.M. with BYO afterwards. Join us in person at Baringa at 22 Dudley St, Penshurst, NSW 2222.

This class differs from a Bible reading group in that it is a one-hour, structured session with prepared materials. A PowerPoint presentation is used, including passages from Scripture, relevant teachings from the New Church, images, and illustrations. You are welcome to come as you are and ask questions as they arise.

Married Love Reading Group

Our Married Love reading group is held during the last week of each month, with the exact date and time announced ahead of each session. Join us either in person or virtually to discuss the spiritual origin, challenges, and joys of eternal partnership. Open to both single individuals and married couples, this group differs from a structured doctrinal class; participants read selected chapters independently each month and gather for an open, shared discussion on how mutual commitment and a shared turning toward the Lord transform relationships. You are welcome to come as you are, bring your reflections, and ask questions as they arise.

Programs and Events

These are just a few of our connection-and-community oriented offerings.

Journey Program

Once a year, from February through March, we offer a Journey Program—a sermon series followed by small group discussion on Monday evenings. Last year, for example, we held a seven-week series on the story of Joseph from the book of Genesis, with our small group study focusing on a workbook that emphasized the practice of integrity.
